The columns show maximum and minimum temperature in Celsius, rainfall during last 24 hours (tr-trace) and total rainfall in mm since October 1, 2005. Rain likely in south T.N. CHENNAI: Rainfall occurred at many places over Lakshadweep and at a few places over Kerala. Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu. Dry weather prevailed over Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in centimeters are: Aluva (Ernakulam dt.) and CIAL Kochi 2 each and Thovalai (Kanyakumari dt.), Kozha (Kottayam dt.), Thodupuzha (Iduki dt.), Alapuzha and Minicoy 1 each. The minimum temperature rose appreciably at one or two places over south interior Karnataka, rose at a few places over Tamil Nadu, fell at one or two places over rest Tamil Nadu and changed little elsewhere over the region. They were appreciably to markedly below normal at many places over Karnataka, at one or two places over Andhra Pradesh, below normal at one or two places over rest coastal Karnataka, rest Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and were generally normal over the rest of the region. Forecast (Valid until Thursday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places over south Tamil Nadu. Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over north Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Kerala and Lakshadweep. Mainly dry weather will prevail over Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. Farmers weather bulletin for Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry: Forecast (valid until Thursday morning): Light to moderate rain is likely to occur at a few places over Ramanathapuram, Tirunelveli, Tuticorin, Kanyakumari, Madurai, Theni, Sivagangai, Virudhunagar and Dindugal districts of south Tamil Nadu. Isolated light to moderate rain is also likely to occur over the remaining districts of Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.
