TDP slams Government on law and order

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD : Telugu Desam Party leaders on Tuesday lambasted the Congress for failing to maintain law and order.

At a press conference, party vice-president Gutta Sukhender Reddy said sharp increase in the number of crimes was making people think of re-locating to other cities.

Hyderabad was becoming much like Mumbai and at this rate it would soon overtake Mumbai.

In the past three months, the rate of crime had spiralled its way on the graph with murders and robberies in broad daylight topping the charts.

It was an absolute failure on the part of the Government to check crime rate and maintain law and order.

Official spokesperson Nannappaneni Rajakumari demanded dismissal of DGP Swaranjit Sen charging him with inefficiency. There were so many killings and the arrests were a few, she said asking the Government to convene an all-party meeting to look into the increase in crime rate and take remedial measures.
