Shishir Patil shocks Varun

MYSORE: Unseeded Shishir Patil (Karnataka), an engineering student from RVCE, Bangalore, scored an upset win over top-seed Varun Gunasheelan (Tamil Nadu) 7-6 (3), 6-3 and entered the quarterfinals in the boys under-18 singles in the AITA Talent Series tennis tournament here on Tuesday.
