NEW DELHI: In tune with this year's theme "Power and Communication", the Tamil Nadu pavilion at the 25th India International Trade Fair at Pragati maidan has been colourfully decorated highlighting the achievements made by the State in power and communication and information technology sectors.

According to V. Maitreyan, Special Representative, the front elevation of the pavilion showcases the progress made by the State and explains why Tamil Nadu is in the forefront in IT, generation, transmission and distribution of electricity to consumers without any power cut or load shedding.

Details as to how computerisation has been put to effective use for the benefit of the common man has been explained in great detail. Details like land, patta, guideline value, can be had in touch screen kiosks in Taluk offices. Achievements made by various departments are also highlighted in the pavilion. For five days from Wednesday, artistes will enthral the viewers with cultural programmes and folk dances of Tamil Nadu.
