ADILABAD : The Government has issued an order No. 1765 dated October 6, 2005, extending until this year end the date for regularisation of all agricultural land transactions which have been effected before December 31, 2000. The registration of all transactions falling within the purview of this GO will be done as per old rates of registration. Informing about the GO at a press conference here on Tuesday, Adilabad Revenue Divisional Officer D. Ashok Kumar Naik said regularisation under the GO was meant only for private patta lands. Interested persons can apply to the MROs concerned, he said.
Urban land
Mr. Ashok Kumar also asked people to get their urban land encroachments regularised as per the new GO 1601 issued on August 29 this year. This GO was an extension of the old GO 508 with some changes in rates to be charged for the land to be regularised depending upon its size and the category of the beneficiary, he pointed out. For below poverty line encroachers an extent of 100 sq yards of land would be regularised free of cost, he added. For pieces of land measuring below 500 sq yards the basic value of land in 1995 would be charged where for plots with size between 500 and 1,000 sq yards, half the present basic value would be charged, he said.
