Man of steel with a heart of gold
ONE-TIME commando and intelligence officer, and now running a successful security and investigations firm, K. Venkatesh has a doctorate and a large heart. Few know that this man with bullet scars from his days with the paramilitary forces does a lot for the underprivileged children.
Mr. Venkatesh recently received the Karnataka Rajya Prashasthi for his work related to child welfare. Minister for Women and Child Welfare Bhagirathi Marulasiddhana Gouda presented the award to him. His work includes providing wheelchairs and artificial limbs for physically challenged children. He also ropes in his doctor friends to provide medical check-ups for children who would otherwise not have access to proper health care.
