Monica Bedi case: orders tomorrow

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: The magistrate of the special court for CBI cases has posted the orders in respect of extending police custody to the Bollywood starlet Monica Bedi to November 17.

The judge who heard the arguments of prosecution and the defence counsel about continuing the custody of Monica Bedi on Tuesday posted the orders for Thursday. The prosecution argued that Monica Bedi had been avoiding warrants and arrests inspite of filing of the chargesheets on her and she was not cooperating with the investigating agencies. In view of this, it wanted her to be sent to police custody for a few more days.

The defence counsel, however, contended that the filing of charge sheet itself was indicative of the completion of investigation and the court could send her for police custody if it was convinced by the grounds cited by the prosecution.
