Congress worker robbed of chain near Ullanahalli

BANGALORE:
Two persons assaulted a person and robbed him of his gold chain, mobile phone and other valuables, all estimated at Rs. 25,000 in Bannerghatta police station limits in Bangalore Rural district on Monday night.
The police said Anand (26) of Jigani, a Congress worker, was driving home in his car.
Near Ullanahalli he found a person lying on the road and another person seeking help. Mr. Anand stopped his car and came out to see the person lying on the road.
Then the two miscreants assaulted him, snatched his gold chain and the mobile phone and fled the spot.
Mr. Anand was admitted to a private hospital and has been recovering from the injury, the police said.
