Scholarships: Students from the State who have been selected for the University Grants Commission's Indira Gandhi Postgraduate Scholarship - for girl students from single-children families - who wish to get the award in person should contact the university's public relations division or the director, Planning (phone 0471 2302615/2305738). The scholarships will be awarded at a function in New Delhi on November 19.

Date extended: The last date for submitting applications for the MA, M.Sc., M.Com., M.HA, M.HRM and PG diploma courses offered by the Institute of Distance Education (IDE) has been extended till November 30.

B.Sc. computer science/BCA: The first year B.Sc. computer science and BCA (regular/supplementary) examinations of the IDE will begin on December 27. The second year examinations will start on January 14 and the third year examinations on February 4.

B.Com. results: The results of the B.Com. part one English, part two modern languages examinations held in April-May have been published. The mark lists will be made available to the examination centres before November 25.

PGDCA: The results of the third semester PGDCA examinations held in June and those of the first and second semester examinations held in February have been published. G. Subhash who wrote the examination at the ICM Centre, Poojappura, has secured the first rank.

MA politics: The results of the first and second year MA politics examinations held in April-May have been published.

Travel management: The Centre for Adult Continuing Education and Extension has invited applications for its course in air ticketing and travel management. Those who have cleared the Plus Two examinations can apply.

B.Com. practical: The practical of the final year B.Com. paper nine (electronic data processing and computer applications) will be held on November 21.
