NEW DELHI: There is no let up in the growing number of dengue cases in the Capital as 13 new patients were admitted to various city hospitals on Tuesday taking the total number of cases to 881. Of these, 11 patients are from Delhi, while one each is from the neighbouring States of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. With the death of one patient reported on Saturday, the toll has also increased to nine -- five from other States and four from Delhi. So far, 598 cases have been reported from the city, with maximum coming from various Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) zones, while 283 patients are those brought from other States that include 118 from Uttar Pradesh and 60 from Haryana. The number of patients presently undergoing treatment for the dreaded disease in various city hospitals is 46. In Delhi, 572 cases have been reported from MCD areas, followed by 22 from VVIP New Delhi Municipal Council area, three from railway colonies and one from Delhi Cantonment. In the Corporation areas, Najafgarh zone is worst affected with 122 cases, followed West zone 111 cases.
