New Delhi: Sandeep Shukla won the gold in the light middleweight (67-71kg) category of the Thai boxing sport of muay at the Asian Indoor Games here on Wednesday. Vinay Kumar added a silver in the middleweight (71-75kg) category to take India's total medals tally to seven gold, three silver and three bronze. Shukla tallied 84 points in the final round to win the gold, while Uzbek Saydulla Ismatullaev (78.2) and Kuwaiti Mohammed Alfailakawi (73.4) took the other medals. In the middleweight final, Vinay Kumar had a score of 83.4 as against gold winner Uzbek Umidjon Hatamov's 86.4.
