Experts and consultants in the field of heritage conservation would be engaged for this purpose, the Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, M.L. Tayal, said on Wednesday while inaugurating the "New Wing" of the Ethnic India Tourist Comlex at Rai. The complex has been set at a cost of about Rs. 1.25 crore. The new wing has 18 well designed suites, an air-conditioned restaurant, bar, banquet hall and 38 other suites. "Mhara Gaon" concept has been projected to showcase Haryana's culture and heritage. Mr. Tayal said that the Government was planning to invite "Expression of Interest" for setting up hotels in Rohtak, Faridabad and Kurukshetra. It may be recalled that the famous Yadavindra Pinjore Gardens, 22 km from Chandigarh, were designed by Fidai Khan, Mughal emperor Aurangzeb's foster brother. These gardens house the Shish Mahal palace built in the Rajasthan-Mughal style with symmetrical designs. Below the Shish Mahal are the Rang Mahal and the cubical Jal Mahal. The Gardens are a favourite picnic spot and one of the most sought after holiday resorts.
