B. Muralidhar Reddy
RAWALPINDI: Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf has said that India was welcome to make financial contributions for reconstruction projects in the quake-hit Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and North West Frontier Province (NWFP). In an informal interaction with Pakistan-based foreign correspondents here on Wednesday, Gen. Musharraf said cash contributions would give greater flexibility to the Government in executing reconstruction project. Asked specifically if India could undertake such projects, he said everyone was welcome to sponsor them. He said Pakistan was willing to dedicate specified projects in the name of donors, be it individuals or institutions or governments. "We can indicate the projects. We can give the patta," he said. Asked whether it applied to India, he said, "Yes indeed. It applies to India. So please give us the flexibility."
