Defiance?

It is unfortunate that senior Congress leader Natwar Singh has taken offence at being stripped of the External Affairs portfolio in the wake of the Volcker report row. While a lot of people were saying that even this action against him was not sufficient, Mr. Singh has preferred to air his grievances openly. Does this not amount to defying the party?
