New Bills to be introduced in winter session of Parliament
|
NEW DELHI:
In its bid to ensure strict compliance of the statutory financial procedures, the Union Cabinet on Thursday approved withdrawal of the amendments to Acts governing chartered accountants, cost accountants and company secretaries to bring them in tune with the new financial dispensation.
At its meeting here, the Cabinet decided to withdraw the 2003 amendment Bills on the three Acts governing chartered accountants, company secretaries and cost and works accountants and replace them with new Bills, to be introduced in the winter session of Parliament.
The changes being brought about are in keeping with the recommendations of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Finance.
