Professor Higgins may have been rather stern in his ways of getting a flower girl to speak English like a lady in the much famous "My Fair Lady'', but for those who always believed in the power of poetry, this is a seminar where getting the English pronunciation right just gets easier. Aimed at teaching secondary level teachers innovative ways of teaching the language in classroom, the British Council is currently conducting the Hornby Seminar Series. Inaugurated on November 14, the seminar that is held across the country in the four regional zones is a six-day workshop. A flagship programme of British Council, this year's seminars are being conducted by UK-based Christopher Rose, a teacher and arts manager with the British Council.
