BANGALORE: The Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity (DAVP) will organise a photo exhibition on Indian cinema during the 36th International film Festival of India to be held in Goa from November 24 to December 4. DAVP Bangalore Regional Director A.P. Frank Noronha told presspersons here that this is the first time that the field exhibition unit of Bangalore has been given this responsibility. The exhibition, with the theme "Many facets one fascination", will depict the diversity and evolution of Indian cinema from its inception, Mr. Noronha said. A team of officials from New Delhi and Bangalore offices will be in-charge of print publicity, press advertisements and fabrication of backdrops. This team will be involved in bringing out daily news bulletins for the press and delegates in English and Hindi during the festival. "The bulletins, totalling 11 issues, will carry special articles by eminent film journalists and film personalities apart from other information relating to the festival," he said. "We have held interactions with leading film personalities of Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam film industries. Over 100 display panels have been fabricated for the occasion and over 500 rare and vintage photographs have been selected for the display," Mr. Noronha said.
