Krishnamurthy to meet BCCI members on Nov. 23

Special Correspondent

Mumbai: Mr. T.S. Krishnamurthy, former Chief Election Commissioner and the Supreme Court nominated observer to oversee the election part of the Board of Control for Cricket in India's 76th AGM (adjourned) at Kolkata on November 29, has agreed to meet the representatives of member associations and listen to elected-related issues at the Taj Connemara, Chennai, on November 23.

Earlier, Mr. Krishnamurthy had set aside time on November 27 at Kolkata to meet the BCCI members.

A former BCCI principal office-bearer and a representative of a State association, supporting Union Minister Sharad Pawar for the post of President, told The Hindu that he and other members would tell Mr. Krishnamurthy the practical difficulties in filing nominations by 5 p.m. on November 27.

Last week Mr. Krishnamurthy had outlined election rules to be adhered to by individuals likely to contest for the four posts — President, Secretary, Jt. Secretary and Treasurer.
