Dog show on November 20

Over 20 stalls to be set up at the venue


  • 335 dogs from various states to take part in show
  • Main aim to educate people about Rabies
  • There will be no sale of dogs

    HYDERABAD : The Hyderabad Canine Club, in association with Pedigree, is organising `HyCan 2005 dog show' between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. at People's Plaza, Necklace Road, on November 20.

    As many as 335 dogs from more than 10 states and about 150 dogs from Andhra Pradesh are expected to participate in the show.

    At a press conference here on Thursday, Hyderabad Canine Club honorary secretary Kiran Chitnis and Marketing Manager of Effem India Private Limited Shalini Rao said that the show was being organised for the 11th time.

    They said that the show had attracted 37 different breeds, including six new ones imported from England, Australia, USA, Brazil and South Africa. "This show is a championship show and it has already attracted more than 75 Indian and foreign champion dogs," they said.

    Mr. Chitnis said that the aim of the show was to educate people and create awareness about eradication of Rabies.
