DGP urges media to be objective

HYDERABAD: Director-General of Police Swaranjit Sen has said that the media distorted incidents of violence and related information to project a bad image of police.

Addressing the inaugural session of a workshop for police PROs, he appealed to newspapers and electronic media to present the true side of the story. He advised them to be sensitive to every problem in reporting.

Mr. Sen wanted the police PROs to assist the media when they are misinformed.

K.V. Ramanachary Commissioner Information and Public Relations,also spoke.
