A.K. Agarwal is Development Commissioner

BANGALORE: The State Government has transferred some of the IAS officers, posting A.K. Agarwal as Additional Chief Secretary and Development Commissioner.

Sudhir Krishna who was awaiting posting has been made Commissioner, Bangalore Metropolitan Region Development Authority, in place of Mr. Agarwal.

R.B. Agawane is Principal Secretary, Social Welfare Department, in place of B.A. Coutinho, who has gone on Central deputation.

V. Umesh, who was Development Commissioner, Northern Karnataka, Belgaum, is now posted as Regional Commissioner, Belgaum.

M.G. Halappanavar, Secretary, Food Processing, Harvest Technology, has been posted as Commissioner for Sericulture Development and Director of Sericulture. C.R. Chikkmath has been posted as Regional Commissioner, Bangalore.

K.S. Manjunath, Commissioner for Religious and Charitable Endowments, has been posted as Labour Commissioner.

Arvind Jannu, Commissioner, Sericulture Department, has been posted as Regional Commissioner, Gulbarga.

KAS officers

The following KAS officers have also been transferred: Mir Anees Ahmed is Additional Commissioner, Administration and Development, Udupi.

N. Babanna has been posted as Headquarters Assistant, Kolar Deputy Commissioner's office.

T.P. Muninarayanappa has been appointed Special Land Acquisition Officer, Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board.
