Mock aptitude test is designed to help unemployed graduates

CHENNAI: Repeated failures in aptitude tests conducted by multinational IT companies is a nightmare for engineering graduates and their parents.

But there's help at hand. Productivity Reach, an organisation involved in campus training and improving skills of job aspirants in group discussion, interview techniques and presentations, is organising a mock aptitude test for engineering students who passed out in 2004 and 2005.

Ramesh Narayan, chief of Productivity Reach, says those who passed B.E/B.Tech in 2005 and have not got jobs still are in a vulnerable position.

They are left with just 5 to 6 months to get a job. In 2006 a new batch will roll out and this makes the process tougher, especially in the HR and technical rounds for candidates. "It is imperative that 2005 graduates get placed before the next batch rolls out in 2006," he adds.

The one-hour-long mock aptitude test should help them get placements in the next 4 to 5 months time.

The questions on quantitative analysis, logical/ critical reasoning and puzzles will be based on the evaluation techniques of leading IT multinationals.

The programme, which began on Friday, is being held at Productivity Reach (24, Abhiramapuram IV Street, Chennai-18). It will also be held on November 19-20 and November 26-27.
