SHIMOGA: Jana Shikshana Samsthan Director Lakshminayana Kashi said here on Thursday that the population alone was not responsible for the increase in social evils. He said poverty and ignorance of the people were responsible for the social problems. Mr. Kashi was speaking as chief guest at the function organised by Rotary Club Mid Town and the District Epilepsy Association to mark the National Epilepsy Day. He said is disturbing to note that the superstitions and wrong beliefs among the people had led to the spread of several diseases for which even a section among the educated people was no exception. A check-up camp was organised prior to the function. Rotary Club Mid Town President Satish presided over the function.
