Puppets tell a different tale

Children penned the story. But puppets played the lead role

HYDERABAD: When children make puppets, stories are bound to follow.

This was exactly what one could see at the puppetry carnival organised by the Children's Film Society of Andhra Pradesh at Prasad's Imax theatre on Friday.

Children, with puppets in their hands, spoke how they made the puppets from waste material. Cardboard, old socks, ribbons, sticks, plastic balls, fur were transformed into lions, crows and rats, which became characters of a story developed and demonstrated by children themselves.
