TDP urges CBI to expedite probe

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: The Telugu Desam has urged the CBI to speed up investigation to establish truth and bring culprits involved in the murder of Paritala Ravi to book.

K.Srihari, party general secretary, in a representation faxed to the CBI Director, referred to the arrival of CBI team here after Julakanti Sreenivasa Reddy alias Moddu Sreenu, the prime accused, landed in police custody after getting injured in a bomb blast.

At a press conference, TDP leaders M.V.Mysoora Reddy and K.Ram Mohan Rao told presspersons that tardy investigation showed that Sreenu had protection from powerful people. He was being given royal treatment and the police were not trying to unearth facts, they charged.

Special team

Meanwhile, Cyberabad Police Commissioner M. Mahendar Reddy said that a special investigation team headed by a senior police officer has been constituted with four teams to work out on the blast at Sri Supraja lodge at Chandanagar.
