Traffic restrictions

Vijayawada: The traffic police on Saturday issued orders prohibiting the movement of goods auto-rickshaws and platform rickshaws on Karl Marx Road and Mahatma Gandhi Road. There was also a ban on movement of lorries and mini-lorries in One-Town area.

The police identified 38 `No Parking' zones under the limits of the four traffic police stations in addition to the existing 267 zones. With this, the number of no parking zones in the city has gone up to 305.

Newly identified no parking zones under the first traffic police station limits are: B.R.P. Road, near Vastralatha, near Church, behind Kaleswara Rao Market, Samarangam Chowk, V.G. Chowk, Srinivasa Mahal theatre, Vagu Centre, Moon Silver Palace and Swagath Hotel.

Under second traffic police station limits: Leela Mahal centre and Raghavaiah Park centre.

Under third traffic police station limits: Taxi stand (near old police control room), Mahatma Hotel and Leela Residency, Kakatiya Public School, Maruthi Nagar, Nokia and Big C Showrooms on Karl Marx Road, R.L.P. Bar and Restaurant, Annadana Samajam Road, near Ryves Canal, Rajagopalachari Market, Government General Hospital, New India Hotel Cetre, Sivaji Café, Kakatiya Graphic Building (Chuttugunta), S.S. Studio, Shalimar Hotel complex, Ramaswami Rice Company to Mayuri Fast Foods, Model Market complex and Vijetha Hospital complex.

Under fourth traffic police station limits: Navya departmental Stores, Eenadu office, Nirmala Convent road, Sweet Magic opposite Hotel D.V. Manor, M&M and Reflections shops, Tipsy Topsy showroom, Tanisq showroom, Myneni Hotel, Siddhartha statue to Mother Teresa centre, Madhu Chowk to Madhu Kalamandapam, Sweet Park and Sunnapu Battila Centre to Siddhartha Academy.

The police declared one way on Nakkala Road, Dornakal Road, Lenin Centre to Ajantha Centre and Big Shot to Deepak Stores under the second traffic police station limits.
