KANCHEEPURAM: Residents of the flood-affected areas in Kancheepuram and Tiruvallur districts have, by and large, expressed satisfaction with the relief measures taken up by the district administration, said Anjuli Chandra, Director, Central Electricity Authority, Ministry of Power. Talking to reporters at Tiruporur on Saturday, Ms. Anjuli said a team headed by her visited some of the residential colonies in the districts where the people said that they were satisfied with the immediate relief measures taken up by the government machinery. "However, there were some voices of dissent. We have asked them to contact the respective district administrations to get their grievances redressed," she said. Apart from visiting residential localities, the team inspected the damage caused to roads, tanks and lakes. Revenue Secretary Sakthi Kanthadas and Collector R. Venkatesan accompanied the team.
