Parries questions on talks with TDP chief

HYDERABAD:
Samajwadi party general secretary and MP Amar Singh on Sunday said though he had discussed several things with Telugu Desam Party president N. Chandrababu Naidu it was "too premature to say anything."
After a two-hour luncheon meet, Mr. Singh maintained it was not unusual if he did not meet the TDP leader whom he described as a good friend since the latter's days as the United Front convenor. "In fact, it would be unusual only if I do not meet Mr. Naidu on a visit to Hyderabad," he told presspersons.
Warding off questions on a possible "Third Front," the leaders said they would not be interested in talking about it at this juncture.
"I know it is unusual for two politicians to meet and talk to the media later. But it is too too early for me to speak on matters like Third Front", Mr. Singh said.
Asked about Bihar, Mr. Naidu refused to speak on political developments there.
On issues that would be raised in Parliament, he said the Opposition would fight the Government on anything that was anti-people.
