CHENNAI: The Rotary Club of Adyar organised a seminar on `Art of Self Management for Schools' at P.S.Higher Secondary School on Saturday. "The real aim of education is to take the human mind from a state of restlessness to perfect equilibrium," said K. Sudarshan, who addressed over 150 teachers from various city schools. Mr. Sudarshan, a disciple of Swami Parthasarathy, elaborated on the different types of leadership, emphasising how important it was to lead by example. "One should be able to communicate according to others' frequency in order to get the message across. A child understands a language of emotions and a teenager understands a language of logic," he said. Speaking on stress management, Mr. Sudarshan said, "You need to identify things that can be controlled and those which can't be. Look for remedies for those which you think, have a solution. Factors that are beyond our control, we simply have to accept." "Most schools give a lot of attention to academics. So we thought it would be appropriate to organise a seminar on management skills for schools. More than 70 schools registered themselves. We are happy that so many principals, senior teachers and administrators have taken part in the seminar," said S.V.Veerramani, President, Rotary Club of Adyar.
