Many coastal areas in T.N. get rain

CHENNAI: Yesterday's depression over Southwest Bay of Bangal moved westnorthwestwards and lay centred at 21/0830 hours IST at about 400 Kilometres eastsoutheast of Pamban.

It is likely to intensify further and move in a westnorthwesterly direction.

Under its influence rainfall occurred at many places over Coastal Tamil Nadu and isolated rainfall occurred over Interior Tamil Nadu. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Lakshadweep and dry weather prevailed over Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala.

Forecast (Valid until the morning of November 23): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places over Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry and at a few places over Rayalaseema, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh, South Interior Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Coastal Karnataka. Mainly dry weather will prevail over Telangana and North Interior Karnataka.
