CHENNAI: The Grand Madras Ballroom at the Le Royal Meridien is all set to glitter with beautiful women from across the world on Friday. The star of the evening will be Miss Universe Ms. Natalie Glebova. The event will present the Russian-born Canadian to the Chennai public. Ms. Glebova is the official AIDS spokeswoman for the Global Health Council. December 1 being World AIDS Day, the event will also be an opportunity to introduce her AIDS awareness activity. Miss Hawaiian Tropic International Melany Albrecht and Miss Afghanistan Bida Samaidzai will accompany her on the ramp. New York-based celebrity fashion designer Sanjana Jon will unveil her new collection with Miss Universe. Her creations have formerly adorned Paris Hilton, Alanis Morisette, Princess Sara al Saud of Saudi Arabia and Princess Olivia de Borbon of Spain. She made her international debut with the 2004 Cannes film festival and won the International Rising Star 2006 at the Vancouver Fashion Week. Leading garment manufacturers and designer products will also be represented. Entry to what Le Royal Meridien promises will be an `international class fashion show' is priced at Rs. 5000 and Rs. 2000 per person.
