Digital cameras to record counting today
Special Correspondent
PATNA:
The Election Commission has installed digital cameras to record counting of votes in Bihar on Tuesday.
The EC has ordered that the entire process, from unsealing electronic voting machines to declaration of results, be photo-documented to avoid any controversy or malpractice.
The votes polled in the 243 Assembly constituencies will be counted at 41 centres spread across the 38 districts. Two companies of Central forces have been stationed at each centre.
The Election Commission has deputed employees of the Central Government, including those working in its undertakings, for counting. State Government employees will be drafted only in the event of shortage of hands.
