Arjun Singh hospitalised

CHANDIGARH
: Union Human Resource Development Minister Arjun Singh was admitted to the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research here on Monday morning after he complained of ``chest pain, overall exhaustion and mild fever.''
Mr. Singh had reached Chandigarh on Sunday evening to inaugurate the regional office of the Central Board of Secondary Education at Panchkula near here. An official spokesman of the hospital said that Mr. Singh was under ``observation.''
The Institute's Director, K.K. Talwar, was monitoring the Minister's condition. He was stated to be ``stable and improving.''
The spokesman said Mr. Singh would be kept under observation for the day and may be discharged on Tuesday.
