HYDERABAD: If the experiment that the Road Transport Corporation is introducing from Tuesday works out, `no service' will be service to the people.

RTC will be running buses that will stop at important terminals, but will not allow anyone to board the bus at the starting point. These buses will instead allow people to start boarding from the first intermediate point.

For instance, though a bus may stop at Secunderabad terminal, it will allow people to board only at Paradise, similarly a bus might stop at Charminar so that passengers can alight, but it will take in passengers only at Madina.

Regional Manager of APSRTC Hyderabad City Region C. Pandu Ranga Murthy explains that these buses will meet the needs of hapless passengers at the intermediate points.

A bus is already full when it comes to Picture House in Mehdipatnam or Erragadda in Sanathnagar or Clock Tower near Secunderabad station. Passengers often have to stand on the footboard because of the fully packed buses that come to these points.

`No inconvenience'

A board named `Sorry, No Service Please' will differentiate these buses from the others, Mr. Pandu Ranga Murthy said. As many as 109 such buses will be plying on the roads from Tuesday on 52 routes.

This will not inconvenience the people at various terminals, he added. "We have already increased the number of buses that come to the terminals."
