Thiruvananthapuram: The Mental Health Centre (MHC), a 135-year-old institution, is in the process of getting a facelift. The institution already has had a master plan prepared for the next 25 years. The renovations planned are being carried out on priority basis. On Wednesday, Health Minister K.K. Ramachandran will inaugurate the MHC's new lecture hall for the conduct of classes for the national Dip NB course in psychiatry and the new Medical Records library. These facilities are expected to enhance the hospital's image as one of the best treatment centres. MHC also has a full diet menu, with patients getting nutritious diet.
