THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Asianet Satellite Communications Limited on Monday launched a mobile interactive video voting channel, `ACV67675.TV'. The new channel will be the eighth in the ACV bouquet of channels. ACV Mobile, the company's mobile data service, will provide technical inputs to the interactive mobile video channel, enabling mobile users to take control of television programmes through their mobile phones. Apart from video voting through SMS, the channel would also have many other interactive applications such as `10 seconds of fame' - a service in which viewers can chat with their pictures on the television screen and `Match Meter,' - an application that displays the compatibility of two people among others. A series of live interactive SMS based shows have been planned. The channel would also feature an SMS portal bar to provide the viewers access to a wide range of SMS services from movies to cricket, finance and mobile downloads like ring tones, wall papers and Java games. Chief Minister Oommen Chandy launched the channel at a function held in the city on Monday. Cultural Affairs Minister A.P. Anil Kumar and Education Minister E.T. Mohammed Basheer were also present on the occasion.
