Syndicate Bank plans subsidiary for BPO work

HYDERABAD: A fully-owned subsidiary to take up business process outsourcing work is being planned by Syndicate Bank. In principle, the government had approved the proposal, said N. Kantha Kumar, the bank's Chairman. In a release, he said the BPO would take up back office functions such as maintenance of credit/debit cards and ATM-related data and reconciliation of accounts, both for the parent bank and for other banks.
