Thai Princess visits Koraput

BHUBANESWAR: Princess of Thailand Maha Chakri Sirindhorn visited Koraput district in Orissa on Tuesday to see the working of two projects run by the U.N. World Food Programme (WFP).

The Princess, who is the WFP's Special Ambassador for School Feeding, visited a project at Haradapat Sevashram School and an Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) centre at Karingiaguda. The WFP has been assisting the Orissa Government through various projects in Koraput and other districts.

According to a WFP release, the Princess chose to visit the ICDS project as it is similar to the Thai projects .
