CHILAKALURIPET (GUNTUR DIST): Junior Civil Judge K. Chiranjeevulu on Tuesday granted bail to five of the accused in Chilakaluripet Police Station attack case, as the police failed to file a chargesheet within the stipulated 90 days. The Virasam leaders Kalyan Rao and Varavara Rao along with three others -- Gantu Prasad and Mariya Das, Chintapalli Srinivasa Rao -- accused in the case were produced before the judge at 11 a.m. here. Varavara Rao and Kalyana Rao came out of the courtroom shouting slogans against the Government for allegedly implicating them in the cases. Another case is pending in the Gurazala court against Varavara Rao and Kalyana Rao. The hearing will come up on Friday.
