Thiruvananthapuram: The Railways have introduced unreserved ticketing system at Pampa for issuing unreserved tickets to passengers. In addition to the facility at Pampa, two additional unreserved ticket counters would also function at Chengannur, Kottayam and Ernakulam stations. A railway release said this facility was in addition to the four/five existing unreserved booking counters available. Special staff had been deputed from other divisions to man the unreserved ticketing counters. Additional information counters have also been set up at these stations. The unreserved ticketing facility at Pampa would function along with the computerised reservation centre being set up at the Devasom complex, Pampa, from November 24 to January 15 next year. The counter will function from 8 a.m to 8 p.m. Additional passenger amenities such as water taps and toilets have been provided for the pilgrims at Chengannur, Kottayam and Ernakulam junctions.
