Easy for Transdyne
Transdyne recorded a four-wicket win against Mano Infoway in the IAMR Corporate Cup cricket tournament at Hyderabad on Tuesday. The scores: Mano Infoway 149 for seven (Murli 75) lost to Transdyne 150 for six (Niranjan 59). Vasant Scribes 199 for four (Israr 88) bt World Tech 92 (Jacob four for 23, Prasad four for 8). BNR Udyog 122 (Maris four for 14) lost to Ckar System 124 for five (Naresh 46 not out). Uniscrip 127 (Mukesh four for 20) lost to Meioland 130 for five (Santosh 40).
Vinay triumphs
M. Vinay Kumar, with 5.5 points, clinched the honours by virtue of better progressive score despite tying with four others in the Magna Chess Academy one-day chess tournament. The final placings: 1. M. Vinay Kumar, 2. P. Satyanarayana, 3. P. Praveen Prasad, 4. P. Srikanth 5. M.Y. Raju.
No sweat for HCCA
Hyderabad Club Cricket Academy (HCCA) recorded a six-wicket win against Visakha Central School in the Glendale Trophy inter-schools cricket tournament (under-13) on Tuesday. The scores: Visakha Central School 131 for eight (Abhilash 34, Giri 37, Srikanth three for 13) lost to Hyderabad Club Cricket Academy 132 for four (Srikanth 92 not out).
Kumar wins
V. Kumar of Hyderabad Division (MG) scored a 40-58, 100-15, 64-47, 79-13 win against M.S. Reddy of Bezawada Division in the snooker quarterfinal of the 36th SCR inter-divisional snooker tournament here on Tuesday. Hyderabad Division (MG) defeated Secunderabad (BG) 2-0 in the team championship final while Workshops Division bagged third place putting it across Headquarters 2-0.
RRDSA eves win silver
Ranga Reddy District Sports Authority women's tennis team picked up the silver medal in the 31st AP State women's sports meet at Visakhapatnam last week. The team comprised D.S. Sravya (capt), S. Ashwini, Grace Singsit and Shubha and was coached by S. Azmi.
