TSS wants university in Karimnagar

KARIMNAGAR: The Telangana Sangharshana Samithi (TSS) has urged Chief Minister Y. S. Rajashekhara Reddy to establish a university in Karimnagar district for the development of the backward district. In a memorandum faxed to the Chief Minister's office, a copy of which was released to the media here on Tuesday, the TSS president J. V. Narsinga Rao urged the Government to establish the university in Karimnagar at the earliest so that the local youth would be guided properly to follow the right path with higher education. He said setting up of a university would expose local youth to developmental aspects and they would strive for the development of district. Staff Reporter

Blood donated

ADILABAD: Twenty NCC cadets of Nalanda Junior and Degree College here voluntarily donated blood at a blood donation camp organised by the 32 (Andhra) Bn NCC, Adilabad at the Government hospital on Tuesday. The camp was organised in connection with the 57th NCC Day celebrations being observed as part of the NCC fortnight. College principal K. Punna Rao said misgivings about donation of blood needs to be removed. In charge commanding officer of the 32 (Andhra) Subedar Jarnail Singh, company commander Lt. A. Nellore: The Department of Survey and Settlement, Nellore, has decided to fill 439 posts of Deputy Surveyor, for which application forms are available till Wednesday at all the e-Seva centers, where the completed applications are to be submitted on the same day.
