Campaign on health mission launched

ADILABAD: Asifabad MLA A. Sridevi on Tuesday lauded the Union Government's National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) for envisaging curbing of infant mortality in rural areas. She said awareness on immunisation and institutional deliveries should be spread in rural areas.

The MLA inaugurated six-day campaign on NRHM and iodine deficiency at Asifabad. The campaign was jointly organised by the Directorate of Field Publicity of the Central Government and the District Women and Child Development Agency . Asifabad Revenue Divisional Officer K. Venkateswarlu, Project Director of District Women and Child Development Agency V. Ramulu, mandal president Arigela Nageswara Rao and MRO Subhash attended. Field Publicity Officer, DFP, I. Hari Babu presided.
