Lotus is "smiling again"

Lotus is "smiling again." Leaders and members of the Bharatiya Janata Party received the Bihar message with great joy. Though it is a junior partner in the northern State, the party saw a greater significance in the victory that came as a morale booster. This was evident from the way the Tamil Nadu unit of the party celebrated the victory at its headquarters, Kamalalayam, on Tuesday morning.

The national vice-president, M. Venkaiah Naidu, called a press conference at short notice to convey his party's joy over the development. After the interaction, he distributed sweets to media persons. Other leaders including the former Union Minister, S. Thirunavukkarasar, the State general secretary, G. Kumaravelu and the Member of Legislative Assembly from Mayiladuthurai, Jagaveerapandian, burst crackers.

Mr Thirunavukkarasar happily endorsed when asked by a reporter whether he was bursting crackers after "a long time."
