BANGALORE: A government employee was arrested on charges of damaging his neighbour's property and breaking a rifle in the Kamakshipalya police station on Monday. According to police, Ranganatha (40), an employee of the Government Printing Press in Peenya, reportedly had a dispute with his neighbour Siddappa. On Monday evening, Ranganatha went to Siddappa's house in an inebriated state and allegedly broke the windshield of Siddappa's car and damaged two windowpanes. Siddappa complained to the police. Two policemen took Ranganatha to the police station. There Ranganatha allegedly latched on to a 303 rifle, hit it against the wall and broke it into pieces.
Body found
A body of a 35-year-old woman was found near the office of the Range Forest Officer in HBR Layout in Hennur police station limits on Tuesday. According to police, the body was found by a person who went for morning walk. The police found injuries on the woman's head, allegedly caused by a cement brick. The Hennur Police have registered a case of murder
Shop burgled
Gold jewellery worth Rs. 9 lakhs was allegedly burgled from a shop in Bazaar Street in Ulsoor police station limits on Saturday night. According to police, Uttam Chand locked his shop and went to this house in Ashok Nagar. When he opened the shop on Sunday, he found a big hole on a wall. The burglars had entered the shop through the hole and escaped with the jewellery. Uttam Chand filed a complaint with the police authorities on Sunday.
