1.5 tonnes of rice seized

Coimbatore: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) on Tuesday seized 56 unclaimed rice bags weighing around 1.5 tonnes from Kerala-bound trains. These were being smuggled to Kerala. Since no passengers staked claim, the seized rice was handed over to the Chief Parcel Supervisor, Coimbatore, for auctioning.
