Stamp design contest for school students

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The postal department will conduct a stamp design contest for school students on Sunday. The contest jointly organised by Thiruvananthapuram North and South postal divisions at the regional level would be held at the State Child Care Samithy, Thycaud.

The prize-winning design will appear in next year's children's day stamp and cover. The topics for the contest are `my favourite mythological hero' and `my favourite fairy tale.'

Candidates who wish to participate should send their applications to the postal superintendent with a certificate from their respective school heads. The timing is from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.
