KOCHI: A quiz for children in special schools will be held on Wednesday at the Vinayaka Auditorium, Kadavanthara. There will be 16 schools from all over State participating in the quiz organised by Adarsh. The quiz will be held in junior and senior category and the elimination round will start at 9 a.m. The finals will start at 2 p.m. and prizes will be distributed at 5 p.m. C.M. Yoshith, Regional Director, Department of Social Welfare, will give away the prizes. Renjini Menon, television anchor, will conduct the quiz. This is the third consecutive year that the quiz is being organised. Adarsh, a rehabilitation institute for children with cerebral palsy, will move into its new building on December 18. President Abdul Kalam Azad is expected to participate in the function, where two students will dedicate the school to special children. Adarsh will move into a 12,000 sq ft building at Kureekkad, constructed in a disabled-friendly manner.
