Dar's custody ends on Nov.24

Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI: The Special Cell has just two more days to interrogate Tariq Ahmed Dar, the alleged Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) conduit who was arrested in Srinagar for his involvement in the October 29 serial blast cases, as his police custody ends on November 24.

The police had earlier mounted a raid at the Srinagar residence of Tariq and seized his computer and some documents. Investigations revealed that he had made scores of calls to Abu Huzefa, the alleged LeT commander who is said to be one of the conspirators of the Delhi bomb blasts.

It has also come to light that Tariq worked as a LeT spokesperson in the Kashmir Valley under the pseudonym Abu Hanifa.
