Low turnout

The low voter turnout was not unexpected. After the developments in February, the electorate would have lost faith in democracy itself. Perhaps, future elections in Bihar will see a greater turnout.

If the voter turnout has gone down, it is mainly because electoral malpractices have been curbed to a large extent by the Election Commission.
